Rulers are normally hard-edged and rectilinear, physically reflecting their metaphorical purpose; to measure within a straight edged Cartesian world. Soft Edge was designed with another focus, to improve user experience and function while remaining precise.
Single fold
Folded from a single sheet of stainless steel, Soft Edge delicately curls up for easy grasp while flipping between inches and centimeters. Soft Scan looks like a small eye. Its paper thin Fresnel lens works as a reading glass but can double as a magnifying glass. Precisely bent from stainless steel, soft scan clips neatly between the pages of a book.
